What is the difference between a normal pool and diving pool ? Quite simply, their depth. A normal pool is 4 to 5 meters deep, while a proper dive pool must at least reach 7 meters.

With a depth of 50 meters, this diving pool could become the deepest pool in the world. It’s construction is planned for 2018 and it would be located near London, Essex, England. This large 50-by-35 meters basin will also be a research center, a shopping center and a large leisure center.

Nowadays, a lot of hotel possess their own indoor pool. However, the Hotel Millepini near Padua, Italy, is distinguished by the particularity of its interior basin. For nearly 3 years, the hotel has the deepest swimming pool in the world. It beats Nemo 33, which, until 2014 held the record. The Y-40 pool, called “Deep Joy”, allows divers to descend up to 42.5 meters. More than 4,000 cubic meters of water are maintained between 32 and 34 ° Celius at all depth levels allowing visitors to experience diving in the best possible conditions.

Several big names in diving contributed to this project, including Umberto Pelizzari and Enzo Maiorca, the man who inspired the “Grand Bleu”. TODI in Belgium

This diving center which has it’s own amazing diving pool, was opened on 27 October 2016 in Beringen, Belgium. In this deep pool, divers can swim among 2,200 tropical fish, a first of a kind in Europe. This amazing diving pool with marine life in it is 36 meters wide and descends to a depth of 10 Meters. Its water, kept at 23 ° C, is heated thanks to renewable sources such as the sun, biomass organic matter that composes living creatures and their residues and wind. With its 6200 m² of water, it is the largest sub-tropical diving center in Europe.
